UPDATE 2021 COVID-19 Business Grant, JobSaver Payment and Micro-Business Grant
Service NSW has provided the following updates regarding all Covid-19 Grants. We expect more clients to be eligible for the Covid-19 grants using the additional minimum testing periods. If you didn’t previously qualify we recommend clients consider re-testing their turnover.
Covid-19 Business Grant – Minimum Two Week Testing Period
Eligible entities are now those that have experienced a decline in turnover of 30% or more due to the Public Health Order over a minimum 2-week period from
26 June 2021 to 17 July 2021 compared to:
- the same period in 2019, or
- the same period in 2020, or
- the 2-week period immediately before the Greater Sydney lockdown commenced (11 June to 25 June 2021)
JobSaver Payment and Micro-Business Grant – Minimum Two Week Testing Period
Eligible entities are now those that experienced a decline in turnover of 30% or more due to the Public Health Order over a minimum 2-week period within the Greater Sydney lockdown (commenced 26 June and due to end 28 August 2021) compared to:
- the same period in 2019, or
- the same period in 2020, or
- the 2-week period immediately before lockdown commenced (11 June to 25 June 2021)
JobSaver Payment – Increased Turnover Threshold and Maximum Weekly Payment
- The aggregated turnover threshold for eligible entities for JobSaver Payment has increased from what was $50million to now $250million (inclusive) for the year ended 30 June 2020
- The maximum 40% of the weekly payroll payment for work performed in NSW has increased from what was $10,000 to now $100,000
