Call to Action: JobKeeper Extension - Check Decline in Turnover pre 31/10
In order to claim the JobKeeper extension payments, the ATO is requiring that you confirm your decline in turnover by 31 October.
The required form can be found in the same section of the business portal where the monthly declarations are completed. Simply look for the heading “Check Decline in Turnover” and select the “Check” button. If you have lodged your Business Activity Statements for the quarters ended 30 September 2019 and 2020 then the income figures will be prefilled into the form.
If you do not meet the 30% decline in turnover test, then there is no requirement to submit the form and you will be ineligible to claim JobKeeper for the December quarter. You will be able to retest your turnover for the December quarter in January 2021 and you may become eligible to claim JobKeeper for the March 2021 quarter.
Please note that if we have been completing the monthly declarations on your behalf then we will have already completed the necessary lodgements.
